<p>Hayley has also taught private Pilates at The Buffalo Athletic Club, Hive Lifespan Center and in private residences.  Hayley’s experience includes working with people of all types from dancers and golfers to people struggling with sciatica and Parkinson’s disease. Hayley continues to build on her training and expertise, attending workshops on topics such as Sciatica, the Alexander Technique, the multifidi muscle group, and pre and postnatal Pilates.</p>
<p>Hayley received a Bachelor of Arts in dance from SUNY Buffalo and continues to teach, perform, and choreograph today. Hayley’s background as a dancer and dance instructor has given her in-depth awareness of the human body and its intricate movements.   With extensive training and course work including anatomy and kinesiology, Hayley focuses on proper alignment and targeting the deep, intrinsic muscles of the body.  Hayley’s Pilates sessions build balanced strength and flexibility, ease of movement, improved posture, and a lean, toned physique.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Everyone has issues and problems. Issues in their lives, their relationships, and issues with the functioning of their human bodies.  I see it, I hear about, and I experience it all day. From the most beautifully put together 25 year old to my 95 year old grandma, we all have back aches, tension in our necks and shoulders, our knees creak, our hips pop!  Aches and pains are a bummer, they can be very disheartening, and discouraging but you must take action. EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE.  We all need to help ourselves, we need to make the time to find and learn the proper way to stretch, strengthen, and love our problem areas.  When we do this, we take a step in the direction of happiness, of pain-free calmness.</p>
<p>I personally suffer from tension in my neck and shoulders, the occasional low back spasm, tight hip flexors when I run, and an old rotator cuff injury that needs constant attention to prevent re-injury.  I&#8217;m lucky, the gym, the pilates studio, and the yoga studio are my home.  I&#8217;m a trainer, my friends are trainers, massage therapists, doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, healers.  So I know what to do when I&#8217;m hurting.  Do you?  I know the 5-10 exercises and stretches I need to perform on a regular basis to be pain free.  When I get busy and stressed and I don&#8217;t make the time to do them I know why the pain is creeping back into my life.  Life is full of obstacles and stressors that will keep you from functioning at 100%, there will always be other things you could be doing with your time.  Chances are you are not surrounding yourself with the kind of people who can help you.  </p>
<p>At STRETCH we want you to feel better.  We want you to perform better in your life, to be pain free and fit!!  EVERY BODY IS DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE.  So make the time, devote a 1/2 or 1 hr a day to finding someone to help you, to teach you what you can do to help yourself.  Don&#8217;t get discouraged by pain, the world is full of people who can help you, you just have to find them.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have recently developed migraines that have lasted for over two weeks. I have seen a neurologist and have been put through infusion treatments that have not worked. Finally the steroid infusion and an oral dose pack seems to be giving some relief!<br />
Unfortunately, this is only a cover up.<br />
Migraines are toxic, and the cause can only be discovered by you!<br />
Changing your lifestyle through consistent safe exercise, and proper foods can help prevent these horrible headaches from coming back. I found Pilates and yoga with deep breathing and relaxation regularly is a real gift. Massage, and reflexology also is a safe natural way to conquer the headaches. These practices will help keep your nervous<br />
system in check.  In the end we have to take care of our own health. Who else will?     </p>

<p>What do you do for a living?<br />
If you are a surgeon, dentist, one who sits at a desk all day, construction worker, gardener, etc&#8230; You probably have some sort of pain from being in the same position morning, noon and night.<br />
By learning the five basic principles of pilates and applying them to your daily movements you can begin to live a better life!<br />
Let&#8217;s start with the neck.  Think of having a peach under the chin. By having the peach you start to lengthen the cervical spine and bring some flexibility to your neck. Try practicing this through your day, and eventually muscle memory will come into play. Let&#8217;s not forget people who have good posture exude confidence and presence!  </p>
